Oh, I love this! I love that you're recognizing the gift you have to offer and showing up in a way that feels right for you. I'm going to be thinking about this a lot, Hanna, thank you.

I love this. A gift is a gift.

I see myself in this, and I find myself feeling a mingling of grief and longing for the version of myself that was once time-rich, and seeing with fresh eyes what the journey of motherhood has initiated me into regarding my relationship with time, and value, and money.

I have felt the discomfort and squeeze in recent years of needing to create stronger boundaries around my time, boundaries that look like money, and I see how that process has strengthened me and served my family and helped me mature in important ways.

And. Reading this has helped me to drop some of the stories that have come with this process, stories that I've been an over-giver, that I haven't known my value, that I've undermined myself professionally in the past for giving so much of my time and energy to others without clear structures and agreements.

But a gift is a gift.

And when I've burned myself out from over-giving, the wisdom that has come from that process has also been a gift. And moving through the saturnian lessons of recent years in my life has helped me to see and understand the value of my own and others' time in many new and beautiful ways.

I love the nature of this gift. We all could use Time to Think. And I trust it brings deep and beautiful blessings of reciprocity your way, even and especially in the indirect, nonlinear, beautiful way that the gift economy often flows.

I felt this is every cell of my body. It's the shifts I've been making in my own work. It still feels edgy in certain parts. I am leaning more into it. I have just started the social mental wealth movement and moving into a gift economy with my work. Would love to chat more. Thank you so much for writing this.

Hi Chris! Loving this comment, thank you! I am so curious about the edgy part. I feel it, too and I'm curious what it's all about.

I would love to hear more about your social mental wealth movement. Where can I find more about it?

You're very welcome, it's so nice to connect with people feeling to the same things.

I think there are some practical spaces the edginess is happening like in some 'traditional' ways run things.

Like running 12/18mth training programs, for example, and how they fit into this new model of things. Really wanting to work out a way that fits.

Furthermore, the pressure to feel comfortable in having at least back up 'traditional' streams, but it not feeling really aligned and in integrity with the way want to go.

I have written a Substack piece on here called from commodity to community. Would love to hear what you think. https://open.substack.com/pub/theuniverseismyplayground/p/from
