That's a pretty impressive list of books that you've read. Tiny Experiments is a book that I've been eying ever since you mentioned it earlier this year.
As for me, my goal is to read more books than last year (being that I read one book last year, that's a low bar). So far I've read one (a book of poetry called tender teeth) and in the process of reading two others (Jane Eyre and Under the Eye of the Big Bird). There's a bunch of books that I want to read though. Some of the titles I want to read include The Walls Have Eyes by Petra Molnar and The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoyevsky. I also have a copy of Wuthering Heights that I need to get to reading - but I promised to myself that I would wait until I finish Jane Eyre first!
I have been trying to re-read Jane Eyre for MONTHS, too. Maybe this summer I'll dedicate more time to it. Funny you mention Wuthering Heights because I picked that up at a free little library this week and I had the same thought that I "shouldn't" start it until I finished Jane Eyre, but then I did anyway!
Oh my god, the book tracker gave me visual ASMR; that is a work of art! How do you write so consistently horizontally!? Might have to start one of these, often lamenting how quickly I forget what I’ve been reading…
It’s a dotted journal! Could never do this on blank pages.
I started tracking my books because after finishing one I used to immediately go read reviews to see if my feelings / thoughts about the book were “correct”. So little self trust! So I decided to write down my own thoughts first. And over the years it turned into this.
Your book tracker is beautiful! I love that you've created a physical artifact of your intellectual journeys. Most of my reading relates to my research projects, but the book I'm reading just for fun at the moment is A History of the Island by Eugene Vodolazkin. I read his novel Laurus and it's one of my all-time best reading experiences.
This year I also read two novels back-to-back by Olga Tokarczuk, because the first was so incredible: The Empusium, and then Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead.
Looks like I'm on a roll of reading books in translation! Didn't plan it that way.
I love talking books! I've read two on your list - The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society, and The Art of Gathering - loved them both. Your journal is fab....I found that I often forgot to add books and then couldn't remember them all when I wrote them in my journal. I started using StoryGraph this year and am enjoying that so far. My favourite books from the first half of this year are: (fiction) There's Something About Mira, The Silence in Between, and I Must Betray You. (Non-fiction) The Gifts of Imperfection, and Make Time for Creativity.

Yesss So here for Tiny Habits!
Thanks for the shout out Hannah! I loved all the Little Bird Hearts and The Serviceberry and The Message are both on my TBR list!

I'm definitely intrigued by Murakami and Rooney but haven't gotten to any of their books yet. Thanks for sharing!
